Two hearts meet in the amalgamation of cultures in Sweden

Posted by on Wednesday, June 19th, 2013

Sweden’s princess Madeleine got ‘law-ally and royally’ wedded to British-born financier Chris O’Neill this week. In a fairytale setting stood the glittering princess on one hand, wearing a stunning Valentino gown and an enviable tiara with a cathedral veil. On the other, sharing the limelight was Shriji Arvind Singh Mewar of Udaipur dressed in the traditional princely Poshak from Rajasthan to bless the jubilant couple. The complete attire comprised of a Sherwani, Churidaar or breeches and a majestic pag or turban from Mewar complemented by traditional adornments. Each fold of the royal poshak told a story of rich culture that Shriji carried with him to Stockholm and was appreciated by all the selectively invited guests at the wedding.

Sweden on 9th June must have been delighted to have witnessed an out-of-the-ordinary unision of two hearts along with two strong cultures at the same time!
